Nicole + Alex

From Friends to Forever Love

A Beautiful Wedding in the Big Easy

When you hear about the ties Florida natives Nicole and Alex have to the city of New Orleans, it’s no surprise they opted to celebrate their big day here. This was where the couple took their first trip together with Nicole’s family before her parents passed, and was also the destination for her grandparents honeymoon years ago. “Plus, the unique vibe of New Orleans was just the perfect fit for what we wanted on our special day,” said Nicole. Once the couple landed on Kimpton Hotel Fontenot as the ideal site to host the wedding of their dreams, they were able to experience a seamless wedding day. From getting ready in a suite at the hotel (for her) and a meeting room (for him), to a gorgeous outdoor ceremony on the King Terrace, to a festive reception in the Canray Ballroom, everything was just steps away. “What I loved most about Hotel Fontenot was the way it made our entire wedding experience feel effortless and special. It was truly an unforgettable experience!” effused Nicole.

Nicole and her bridal party were able to relax, celebrate and prep in the spacious Fontenot Suite, with Champagne on hand to add to the celebratory mood. Alex and his groomsmen posted up in the Evangeline Boardroom to have some fun of their own with some friendly games of beer pong while they snacked on fries and sliders.

The couple were offered Chef Lanna’s Sticky Buns on their first site visit at the hotel and loved them so much, the Fontenot catering team incorporated them into the wedding menu via a mouthwatering desserts display at the reception alongside chocolate bread pudding, chocolate dipped strawberries, fruit tartlets and a selections of housemade cookies.

Beyond official wedding events, the couple and their guests delighted in the offerings at the hotel. “The beautiful Peacock Room with its incredible ambiance was a favorite spot for our guests to gather, and King Brasserie served the best breakfast to start each morning off right,” said Nicole.
